Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer Location: Aurangabad, Maharashtra Industry: Automobile Experience Required: 3 to 5 years Skills Required: Paint Shop, Weld Shop Position Overview The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes within the paint shop and weld shop operations at Nahars Engineering India Pvt. Ltd. (Laxmi Group). This individual will ensure that all products meet the required quality standards and that all processes comply with industry best practices and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Control Management: Monitor and ensure adherence to quality standards in the paint and weld shops. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process to identify areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions for non-conformances and ensure root cause analysis is conducted for any quality issues. Maintain detailed records of inspections and quality reports. Required Skills & Qualifications 2. Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects. Work closely with production teams to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve workflow and quality control procedures. Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor the progress of corrective actions. 3. Team Leadership: Lead and guide the quality control team, ensuring they follow best practices and meet company standards. Provide training and mentorship to junior quality engineers and operators within the paint and weld shops. Collaborate with other departments, including production and engineering, to resolve quality issues. 4. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, including ISO certifications, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and submit detailed quality reports to senior management. Assist in audits and inspections conducted by external agencies and customers. 5. Customer Satisfaction: Address customer complaints related to product quality and work closely with the customer service team to resolve any issues. Ensure that all products delivered meet or exceed customer expectations. 6. Data Analysis: Analyze quality data and trends to identify recurring issues and work towards their resolution. Use statistical methods to assess process performance and guide quality control initiatives. Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the automobile industry, specifically in paint and weld shop environments. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of quality control tools and techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen). Proficiency in quality auditing, inspection techniques, and root cause analysis. Familiarity with welding processes and paint application standards. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly. Leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team. Certifications (optional): Six Sigma, Quality Auditor, or any relevant certification in quality management systems.
