Overview:
Modern Packaging Company is a leading provider of packaging solutions, committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients. We are currently seeking a Printing Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Printing Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the printing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Supervise the printing department's daily operations to ensure production targets are met within the defined timelines.
Coordinate with the production manager to prioritize printing jobs based on deadlines, materials availability, and equipment capacity.
Monitor and maintain printing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Schedule regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
Train, mentor, and provide guidance to printing team members, including machine operators and assistants, to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any issues promptly.
Review job orders, specifications, and artwork to ensure accuracy and completeness before production begins. Communicate any discrepancies or special requirements to relevant stakeholders.
Monitor the quality of printed materials throughout the production process. Conduct quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with other departments, such as prepress, quality control, and shipping, to streamline workflow and resolve any production-related issues.
Maintain accurate production records, including job logs, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance records. Generate reports as needed to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to printing processes and equipment. Make recommendations for process improvements and equipment upgrades as necessary.
Qualifications:
 
Bachelor's degree in Printing Technology, related field preferred.
