JOB DESCRIPTION :
1. System Design and Planning Load Calculations: Perform heating and cooling load calculations to determine the capacity requirements for HVAC systems. System Selection: Select appropriate HVAC equipment and components based on project specifications and requirements. Energy Efficiency: Design systems that optimize energy efficiency and comply with relevant energy codes and standards.
2. Technical Analysis and Documentation Technical Specifications: Develop detailed technical specifications for HVAC systems, including equipment, materials, and installation methods. Blueprints and Schematics: Create detailed HVAC system blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings using CAD software. Project Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including design reports, submittals, and operation manuals.
3. Compliance and Standards Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, ISO). Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that designs meet required performance and safety standards.
4. Project Management Coordination: Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HVAC systems into the overall building design. Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of design deliverables. Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates.
5. Installation and Commissioning Support Installation Supervision: Provide technical support and guidance during the installation phase to ensure correct implementation of the design. Commissioning: Participate in the commissioning process to verify that systems operate as designed and meet performance specifications.
