The Specialist HR (C&B, Payroll, Statutory) is responsible for
managing and executing all compensation and benefits (C&B) related
activities, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with statutory
regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of HR policies,
procedures, and labor laws. The incumbent will be instrumental in maintaining
accurate employee data, processing timely and accurate payroll, and
administering various benefits programs.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation and Benefits Administration:
Develop and implement compensation strategies aligned with
business objectives.
Administer employee compensation and benefits programs,
including salary benchmarking, bonus plans, and health insurance.
Conduct compensation reviews and make recommendations for
salary adjustments based on market trends and internal equity.
Manage benefits enrollment and serve as a liaison between
employees and benefits providers.
Stay informed about changes in compensation and benefits
regulations to ensure compliance. Analyze internal and external factors
to ensure alignment of compensation with organizational goals and market
trends.
Design and develop compensation packages and bonus programs.
Make recommendations for enhancements or adjustments to compensation
strategies.
Experience leading benchmarking initiatives and evaluating
benefits programs.
Lead the development and rollout of comprehensive benefits
programs.
Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to negotiate
benefits packages.
Payroll Processing:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all
employees.
Maintain employee payroll records and reconcile discrepancies.
Manage payroll deductions, taxes, and statutory remittances.
Generate various payroll reports for management and statutory
requirements.
Stay updated on payroll regulations and ensure compliance.
Implement policies and procedures for timekeeping and leave
management.
Statutory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws,
regulations, and statutory requirements.
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
Prepare and submit statutory reports and returns.
Handle labour-related audits and inspections.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in HRMS/ERP
systems.
Generate various HR reports and analytics.
Provide HR data support for management decision-making.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve C&B, payroll, and
statutory processes.
Implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and
accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience
Master’s degree in human resources (MBA-HR)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in C&B and payroll
processing.
Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory requirements.
Proficiency in HRMS systems and payroll software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
