Qualifications/ Competencies:  B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.  5+ years of hands-on object-oriented programming experience in Java.  6+ years of experience with Open-Source tools (Spring, Hibernate, Apache, Maven, JUnit, etc.).  4+ years’ experience with relational database development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling). Sybase experience preferred.  Enthusiasm and flexibility to work independently or in a team-environment.  Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills Good to have:  Experience on frameworks like Angular, React, Node.js, Typescript is a plus.  Experience with at least one NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and one scripting language (Perl/Python).  Experience with cloud native development (Kubernetes, Docker), open source publish-subscribe frameworks like Apache Kafka.
