Job Description:

Key Responsibilities: 1. Payroll Processing:  Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, calculations, and disbursements.  Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing payroll for all employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.  Validate timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.  Process adjustments, bonuses, and deductions accurately. 2. Compliance Management:  Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.  Interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance with payroll practices.  Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports.  Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address compliance concerns and implement necessary changes.  Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processes. 3. Record Keeping and Reporting:  Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in compliance with privacy laws.  Generate reports on payroll metrics, tax liabilities, and other relevant data as required.  Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.  Respond to inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters. 4. System Management:  Utilize payroll software and systems to process payroll and generate reports.  Monitor system updates and enhancements, ensuring smooth operation and compliance.  Collaborate with IT or external vendors to troubleshoot system issues as needed. 5. Continuous Improvement:  Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency.  Implement best practices and recommend improvements to existing payroll systems and procedures.  Provide training and support to staff on payroll-related matters
