Job Description:

The responsibilities would include, but not be confined to, the following: 

 Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements.

  Maintain internal controls and safeguards for revenue, costs, and program budgets, and actual expenditures. 

 Coordinate all audit activities.

  Analyze financial data consistently and present financial reports accurately and timely. Communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress, changes, and keep senior leadership informed of financial status.

  Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare them to actual results to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.

  Support the Finance & Accounts head in engaging the board's audit and finance committees regarding financial operating models and trends. 

 Oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting; ensure expenditures align with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period. Collate financial reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants. 

 Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working with Program Heads; collaborate with Program Heads to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations.

  Manage and track the performance of invested assets, aligning with policies and investment guidelines.

  Utilize the strengths of finance team members; provide clarity on roles and responsibilities; develop and implement training programs to maximize their potential and help them reach optimal individual and organizational goals.  Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment. 

 Monitor financial performance and provide strategic guidance to senior management.  Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.
