Responsibilities: JD QUALITY CONTROL WITH AUDIT
1. Review and Evaluation: Review and evaluate audit engagements, including financial
statements, workpapers, and reports, to ensure compliance with auditing standards,
regulations, and firm policies.
2. Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to audit teams, helping
them address complex accounting and auditing issues.
3. Risk Assessment: Assess the risk associated with each audit engagement and
recommend appropriate procedures to mitigate those risks.
4. Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills
and knowledge of audit staff, keeping them up-to-date with evolving audit standards and
regulations.
5. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the quality control process,
including findings, recommendations, and actions taken.
6. Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to audit partners,
managers, and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant auditing standards, laws, and
regulations, including International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) or Generally Accepted
Auditing Standards (GAAS).
8. Independence and Ethics: Monitor and enforce adherence to independence and ethical
requirements in audit engagements.
9. Peer Review: Coordinate and participate in internal and external peer reviews of audit
engagements to ensure quality and compliance.
Qualifications and Knowledge:
1. Educational Background: Typically, a QC professional in audit holds a bachelor's or
master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) are often required or
preferred.
2. Audit Experience: Extensive experience in auditing is essential. A QC professional should
have a deep understanding of auditing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
3. Regulatory Knowledge: Proficiency in relevant auditing standards (e.g., ISAs or GAAS)
and an understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to audit engagements.
4. Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial
reporting, and auditing procedures.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with audit
teams, clients, and regulators, and to convey findings and recommendations clearly.
