Job Title: Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies, protocols, and standards. The role includes monitoring patient health, administering medications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with established hospital protocols.

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.

  • Monitor patient progress and communicate any changes in condition to the healthcare team.

  • Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

  • Assist in medical procedures and emergency response situations.

  • Document all care and treatment in patient records accurately and timely.

  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and post-discharge care.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and ethical standards.

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients.

  • Participate in continuous professional development and staff training activities.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing or GNM).

  • Valid nursing license/registration (as required by local governing body).

  • Minimum [X] years of clinical nursing experience preferred 


Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong clinical and assessment skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.

  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
