Position: Business Development Manager (Govt. Sales)

Department/Group: Business Development

Industry: Furniture industry (Govt. Sales Experience)

Location: Surat, India                                                              Company Link :https://www.durian.in/

Working Days and Timings: Monday-Saturday, 10.15 am to 6.45 pm with one week off on Sunday.

Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per month (in hand)

Experience: 8+ years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Visiting architects, government officials, and engineers in government, banks, etc.
  • Educating clients about the company's products
  • Suggesting modifications and giving presentations
  • Understanding drawings and technical specifications (low to medium level)
  • Formulating tender packages and providing quotations, catalogues, and samples
  • Obtaining approvals and clearances from clients
  • Negotiation, follow-up, and getting orders
  • Providing proforma invoices, getting purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries
  • Reporting project progress to clients and architects
  • Customer relationship management and MIS reports
  • Discussing payment terms and settling disputes

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a reputed college or university
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets (preferably 2.5 crore in a year)
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Strong business intelligence
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Fluent English (level 4/5)

  • Knowledge of office chairs
  • Experience selling modular and office furniture
  • Experience selling through GEM
  • Experience selling in CPWD and PWD
  • Travel not required
