Job Summary: The Project Engineer - HVAC will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing HVAC projects from conception to completion. This includes design, installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure they meet project specifications and are completed on time and within budget. The role requires strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

Design and Technical Support:
- Review and interpret HVAC design specifications and drawings.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the design team.
- Select appropriate HVAC equipment and materials based on project requirements.

Installation and Supervision:
- Oversee the installation of HVAC systems to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and supervise contractors and subcontractors.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during installation.

Testing and Commissioning:
- Conduct testing and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.

Project Management:
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Manage project budgets and control costs.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and records.

Client Interaction:
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
- Conduct client meetings and presentations as needed.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in HVAC project engineering or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and design principles.
- Proficiency in using HVAC design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HVAC load calculation software).
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in HVAC (e.g., ASHRAE Certified, LEED AP) is a plus.
