The Network Engineer is a mid-level position that will play an active role in the build out and maintenance of Secureworks corporate network.
Role Responsibilities
- Participate in projects focused on the implementation of network solutions that provide for scale and resiliency.
- Maintain and enforce network standards with regards to device configuration, routing protocols, device installation, etc
- Optimize network performance through monitoring, timely upgrade of network devices and troubleshooting of network faults that focus on root cause.
- Maintain platform documentation.
- Work incident and requests for service within SLA as needed.
- On-call as required.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a role as a network engineer
- Working experience and understanding of network and routing principles (OSPF, BGP, etc)
- Working experience and understanding of switching concepts (STP, 802.1q, QoS, CLI) in a multi-vendor environment.
- Working experience and understanding Firewall concepts( Cisco,Palo Alto etc)
- Working experience and understanding of DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc
- Experience with vendor management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong understanding of change management processes.
- Experience with complex network troubleshooting.
Preferences
- Exposure to Dell networking technologies.
- Experience with public clouds.
