Job Description:

The Presales-BOQ specialist is responsible for preparing detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction and engineering projects. This role involves close collaboration with sales teams, engineers, and clients to ensure that all project requirements are accurately captured and quantified. The Presales-BOQ specialist plays a critical role in the presales process, helping to secure projects by providing clear and comprehensive BOQs that support accurate cost estimation and project planning. Key Responsibilities: BOQ Preparation: Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work and materials required. Prepare detailed and accurate BOQs, listing quantities of materials, labor, and equipment needed for the project. Cost Estimation: Collaborate with the cost estimation team to ensure that BOQs are aligned with cost estimates and pricing strategies. Provide input on potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options. Technical Support: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support during the proposal and bidding process. Address client queries related to BOQs and project specifications. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all BOQ-related documents and correspondence. Prepare and present BOQ reports to internal stakeholders and clients. Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their specific project requirements and preferences. Provide professional advice and recommendations based on project needs and industry standards. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other technical teams to ensure that BOQs are comprehensive and accurate. Participate in project meetings and discussions to stay informed about project progress and changes. Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all BOQs are prepared in compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Stay updated on changes in industry standards and regulations affecting BOQ preparation. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, or a similar role in the construction or engineering industry. Proven track record of successful project involvement from a BOQ perspective. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using BOQ software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Excel).
